Moreover, biomethane stands out as an attractive alternative for industrial consumers seeking to transition from fossil natural gas to a more sustainable option. In this context, biomethane not only supports environmental sustainability but also offers considerable commercial opportunities.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>1. The Role of Biogas<\/h3>\n<p>Biogas is a renewable gas produced through the anaerobic decomposition of organic materials. Agricultural waste, animal manure, municipal waste, and organic matter from wastewater treatment plants are commonly used to produce biogas. Raw biogas typically contains 50-60% methane and 30-40% carbon dioxide. However, the direct use of biogas is limited.
